New Ferrari F70 spy shots hit the web
Amidst reports that the Ferrari F70 will deliver upwards of 1000 horsepower, a mule was recently spotted doing the rounds near the company’s Maranello factory. It was sporting minimal camouflage and the following two spy shots give us an indication of what the production car could look like.
Despite it being obvious that this particular test mule has loads of fake body panels on to try and deceive spy photographers, one clear detail which seems to have been retained from the Enzo are its upward-swinging doors based on the position of the door handles and the panel gaps from the door which stretch over half of the roof on either side.
Add to that the low hunkered-down look of this test car and it seems obvious that the new F70 will have similar proportions to the original Enzo albeit with vastly different body work in order to bring the retro looks of the Enzo into the modern world.
The images were first posted onto FerrariChat, and one forum member went on to speculate that an F70 with no camo will be previewed at a few very select events in the coming months, although we’ll have to take that information with a pinch of salt.
In saying that however, it wouldn’t surprise us if Ferrari did do so in order to drum up some customers for the F70 ahead of its rumored public release at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
