The Full Story

This rather stealthy 911 test mule was spied braving the rainy and snow-lined streets on an interstate near Detroit, Michigan. However, it obviously wasn’t stealthy enough, as a short video of it cruising along was posted to Instagram, showing off the Stuttgart superstar’s rear three quarters.

Interestingly, the user who shot the video, Jeff Hammoud, is the VP of Design at Rivian, so he clearly has an eye for this sort of thing.

Although it’s rocking all-black paint in less-than-ideal conditions, you can still make out the 992’s new taillights and spoiler, as well as the car’s incredibly wide hips. We’re also seeing a new vehicle architecture under the skin.

Deliveries of the 992-era 911 are expected to commence sometime next year.
