Maserati postponed the launch of its new Grecale SUV quite a few times now. Last time it was supposed to be revealed on November 16th, 2021, but because of some supply problems the launch date has been moved for sometime in the spring of 2022.

While waiting for an official debut to happen, Maserati engineers are out testing the car in all kind of weather conditions. This time, taking advantage of a longer lunch they had, our spy photographers were able to take some closer shots, including some for the interior.

On the exterior the car is still heavily camouflaged, so it is still very hard to make an idea on how the Grecale will look like. But, as we previously said we expect it to have a design inspired by the bigger Levante SUV.

These new pictures however, are mostly about revealing the interior of the Grecale, and we can get a clear look at the undisguised infotainment screen, dashboard and steering wheel with the gear shifter.

The Grecale will be built on the same Giorgio platform as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, so we expect it to be offered with the same engine lineup. In the States, we should get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that will deliver a total of 280 horsepower and 306 pound-feet of torque. A Trofeo version will also be offered, with the same engine as the Stelvio Quadrifoglio: a 2.9-liter V-6 engine that delivers a total of 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque.
