The big news for Nissan Motorsports – better known simply as NISMO – so far this year has been the introduction of the GT-R LM NISMO racecar, but it sounds like the performance sub-brand will be getting some new models in coming years. Darren Cox, NISMO global head of brand, marketing and sales, recently visited the U.K.’s Car Magazine, and without being too specific, gave a little insight as to what the future might have in store for Nissan->ke62 and NISMO enthusiasts.

For starters, this means that NISMO will be adding some new models, although there’s no telling what they might be. The automaker has recently revealed “concept” performance vehicles such as the 370Z NISMO Roadster Concept, Pulsar NISMO Concept and Sentra NISMO Concept, so really there’s a good chance for any of these to make it to production. And with the 2016 Nissan Titan coming, it would be pretty cool to envision a Titan NISMO (either for on- or off-road performance). Whatever Nissan is planning, a future NISMO model would join current vehicles like the GT-R NISMO, 370Z NISMO Coupe and Juke NISMO.

In addition to full-blown NISMO performance, Nissan is also preparing to launch some NISMO-inspired body kits to give cars a sportier look without adding the extra costs. Cox emphasized that the NISMO name would be applied to performance cars only (not badge and sticker jobs), so Nissan could be looking to pull a similar move as BMW M and Mercedes AMG.
