Amuse, the well-known Japanese tuning company claims that, with the help of ECU tweaking and a high flow exhaust system, their Nissan GT-R broke the 600 hp barrier. According to BestCar, a Japanese automotive magazine, Amuse obtained a power output of 602,73 hp and 578 Nm of torque.

However, the tuners are beginning to question themselves now how the gearbox of the GT-R will hold up that amount of power. It is known that the cars with dual-clutch gearboxes have a problem due to the additional torque because the friction surface is much a smaller comparing to a single clutch gearbox. According to some tuners the gearbox could hold up 12 months until the problems begin to appear.
