We’ve already seen proof that Nissan is working on a high performance V-Spec version of the already impressive GT-R sports car. As it turns out that’s not the only trick Nissan has up its sleeve. To help keep people patient until the arrival of the V-Spec GT-R, the company will introduce a extra-limited edition GT-R (only 30 units) at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show.

It will be called GT-R Le Mans Edition and (GT-R LM) will be powered by a modified version of the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that will now produce 600 hp (up from the standard 480 hp). No exact figures have been released about how the car’s times will improve, so we’re still hoping Nissan will enlist us to help find out.
