Nissan seems to be an ‘all or nothing’ kind of company. There was a five year gap between the last GT-R and the current car. Now it seems the modifications won’t stop. Yesterday we saw the first details on the modified Spec-V version of the car, and now here’s a new rendering of the even hotter LM (LeMans) edition.

We were originally supposed to see the car in the flesh at the Detroit Auto Show, but now Nissan is skipping the January show (local dealers are filling the gap.) So since we know don’t know when the Nissan GT-R LM, we decided to keep ourselves hungry with some rendered speculation.

The GT-R LM is rumored to squeeze 600 hp from its 3.8-liter twin turbo V6. It will not only be the most powerful GT-R, but also the rarest at 30 units total. When GT-R LM arrives in 2010 or 2011, it is also expected to come with bigger brakes, lighter wheels, firmer suspension, and an upgraded transmission.

One of the hallmarks of the regular GT-R was the developer’s attention to the aerodynamics. Expect the widened bodykit on the LM edition to provide even more downforce and increase the effectiveness of the horsepower.
