With only 20 units produced, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is so rare that most of us can only dream about seeing one in the metal. The most exclusive Lamborghini Gallardo ever

Although there's no sign of the badge anywhere on or in the car, the Sesto Elemento is actually based on the Gallardo. However, it features a bespoke body made entirely our of carbon-fiber.

The cabin is also unique compared to the Gallardo, mostly because it doesn't have comfort features such as air conditioning, an audio system, and proper seats. The latter are replaced by foam padding units built directly into the carbon-fiber chassis.

The carbon hood of the Sesto Elemento hides a 5.2-liter V-10 engine taken from the Gallardo Superleggera. The mill cranks out 562 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque, on par with the range-topping Superleggera Edizione Tecnica and Performante Spyder models. The supercar tips the scales at only 2,200 pounds, some 900 pounds below the regular Gallardo and 1,050 pounds less than the Superleggera. Thanks to its tremendous power-to-weight ratio, the Sesto Elemento is much quicker than any other Gallardo to 60 mph, needing less than three seconds to get there. The quickest Gallardo is rated at 3.3 seconds.

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento specifications

Lamborghini produced only 20 Sesto Elemento units in 2011 and 2012, priced at $2.92 million each. The Sesto Elemento was Lamborghini's most expensive car until the Veneno debuted in 2013.
