Lamborghini revealed a teaser video to show off the Urus’ “Corsa” – Race in Italian – driving mode, but someone is probably in a lot of trouble as there was a shot of the Urus SUV displayed ever so prominently on the infotainment display. As a part of this “accidental” leak, we get a fair look at the front end and the side profile of the brand’s upcoming Urus SUV – the model that’s tasked with pushing the brand's production numbers beyond the 7,000 example threshold.

The Lamborghini Urus Exposed

Set to be revealed on December 4th, it could be quite a blow to the brand to have the official look of its new SUV leaked to the world. Then again, these “leaks” seem to be happening quite frequently just before a new car debuts, and it comes off as more of a marketing scheme than an actual leak. That seems to be the case here as well, considering Lambo removed the video quite quickly just to remove that sequence from the video and re-upload it. For a brand as prominent as Lamborghini, it’s not very likely that someone made a mistake this vile. And, it’s highly doubtful that every suit-wearing employee didn’t with an office didn’t see the video before it went out either, so I’m going to chalk this one off under the marketing scheme category. The best part is that in the short time the video was alive on Lambo’s channel, it was download and reuploaded multiple times. So, even if it was a real mistake, there’s nothing that can be done about it now – once something is on the internet, it’s there forever, right?

Lamborghini Urus in the Digital Flesh

As you can see from the video, the Urus is turning out to be quite the super SUV. Of course, there’s still this little devil in the back of my mind pointing out that it’s riding on the same mechanical bits as Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Bentayga, and the Audi Q7. So, I feel like it’s just another rebadged model from the dirty VAG. With that in mind, it shouldn’t be a surprise that you can see the same secondary touchscreen controller that is found in the Audi A7, Audi A8, and the upcoming Audi Q8. As well as the traditional Bang & Olufsen speakers. There’s also a digital instrument cluster (which there damn sure better be for an overpriced Q7, right?) As far as the outside goes, we can see a much more aggressive fascia that found on any of the related models, and it’s certainly rocking out that wide body kit quite well too. It has huge air vents, a commanding front splitter, and some very muscular and steroid-infused wheel arches as well.

It might be an Audi Q7 under the skin, but on the outside, it is its own model. What do you guys think of the Urus so far? Let us know in the comments section below, then check out our speculative review to learn more about it and what you can expect in the coming weeks.
