Did you like the Ford Fiestas designed by the American Idol contestants? Would you like to customize your vehicle in any wrap you desire? Turns out, the masterminds behind this ultra cool wrapping sensation (no, we’re not about to introduce a pseudo-rapper with a ridiculous name) are the ladies and gentlemen over at Original Wraps Inc. This international provider for vehicle personalization is about to turn the design world upside down by allowing a vehicle’s owner to personalize their ride. We are not talking about little stickers and spray paint cans here, but actual vehicle wraps that can make your car look like the wrapped up vehicles that are currently being sported across the pond. Think back to the Ferrari F430 Spyder wrapped in the cool black and white military-style wrap. Yes, we already called them and they can do it. Not just the black and white wrap, but the matte black (think Matte Black Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series) and the gold wraps as well. They can do pretty much anything your little heart desires.

Original Wraps Inc. use professional automotive grade 3M Scotchprint On-Demand vinyl laminated for protection and fade prevention. They handle all of the creative development, manufacturing, and distribution of their products and offer the program, with no upfront costs, to dealerships everywhere. Tom Stemple, CEO of Original Wraps, says he launched this type of vehicular personalization to offer drivers, auto manufacturers, car dealers, automotive retailers and wholesalers with a complete, on-demand vehicle customization program and already has partnerships with Ford->ke31 and MINI USA->ke57 to po wer their vehicular personalization programs.

“In a drowning economy, auto manufacturers were looking for ways to offer customers a little something extra during the car-buying experience,” said Stemple. “With Original Wraps technology, OEMs are now able to offer complete on-demand vehicle personalization, without all of the up-front infrastructure costs. With partnerships in place with most of the major auto makers, we already own the marketplace and are the definitive name in custom auto graphics.”

There are three defining factors when it comes to the price of your personalization. First, there’s the total area being covered by the graphics. Square footage can range from 25-225 sq.ft. (225 sq.ft. would be the area for a Transit Connect). The second factor would be the design work associated with your artwork. Every piece of art is reviewed and tweaked by the artists at OW before being submitted for production. Their hourly rate is $60 and it usually takes about 3-5 hours to review. The third, and final, factor is installation. Installation will run about 30% of the cost of the graphics. A simple design could end up costing the consumer about $800-$1200 while a more elaborate design can be about $2500-$3500$. Just think, for a lot less money than a custom paint job, you can change the whole look and feel of your car while expressing your own unique personality.
