Bad news for bow tie fans, because General Motors has found a problem with America’s favorite sports car and are planning to recall over 22000 Corvettes due to a separation issue with the removable roof panel and the rest of the car. Apparently certain Chevrolet Corvette Z06s made in 2005 and 2006 equipped with a targa top as well as other Vettes built from 2005 to 2007. However there is no need to worry, because if you have noticed a new noise when going over bumps, a leaky headliner or just plain old poor fitment on your C6 then head down to your local Chevy dealer where they will install a newly designed roof panel free of charge if yours just so happens to be a defective unit. There is no immediate danger in driving a Vette with an off top, but GM just wants to make sure that you don’t due any unnecessary damage to anybody else.

It is all right if it was removed. At least they still first went after the safety of consumer before their self profit. And for sure, we can expect a better Corvettes next time.

Well that’s what I don’t like about Chevys’, so many negative issues and now a separation issue for a convertible. Well even they’re offering a free service on installing new roof panel, it will be an issue by means of not having a quality check before the official car release.

Wow, GM, you really out-did yourselves this time. I mean, I’ve heard of lame manufacturing defects, but the roof flies off!? This has got to be their best one yet.
