Autoweek has made an overview of the future models coming from Mercedes.

The first one, actully the one that is very unclear at this moment is the P8. It is not sure at this moment if this high-performance, two-passenger coupe will be produced, but there is word that the new Mercedes management has put it back on the drawing board.

The P8 will be manufactured by partner McLaren. The P8 will feature the new 6.3-liter V-8 AMG engine with an output of 510 hp. It is very probably to debut in early 2008 and it will cost less than the $455750 SLR limited edition.

Another models coming from Mercedes are: C class coming in 2007, CLK coupe/convertible in 2008, E class, a four-door coupe CLS will be freshened in 2009, a diesel version of the S-Class is due in 2007, the redesigned CL is expected in late 2006 as the CL550, equipped with the new S-class engine, a two-passenger SLK roadster will be restyled in 2008, the SL will be redesigned in 2008, the R class will not be freshened until 2009 at the earliest, a small crossover is expected to be developed on the new C-class platform for 2008 or 2009, a mild freshening of the M-Class coming in 2008.
