• Pagani C9 test mule spotted back on the road doing some testing

A few months after those gut-wrenching photos of a crashed Pagani C9 brought us all close to tears, we’re delighted to tell you that the new C9 is once again up and running and out on the road to continue to do more testing after its unceremonious break.

This photo was sent over by a Dutch fellow that was traveling along the Brenner Pass from Italy to Austria when he, much to his surprise, caught a real-life C9 blazing along the same road. In his haste to snap a photo, he was only able to catch one photo of the new prototype C9. While we’d be thrilled to have seen more than one photo, it’s still one more than nothing.

Pagani hasn’t announced an unveiling date for the C9, but we’re all hopeful that it could come sometime later this year, possibly at the Paris Motor Show. In any case, we’re just glad to see Pagani’s new supercar back testing on the road after that ridiculous crash a few months ago.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read full bio

Why do you think that it is a C9 prototype but not a Zonda simply?

I think they’re usually having a matter of function, while there on a being a supercar. Really, a car at Pagani’s price and performance level ought to have a deployable, adaptable aerodynamic package, like the Veyron and some other exotic cars.

I hope there are no more incident for the pagani C9. They are just wasting their money with crash.

Super fast car! Too long for renderings, and still there are no statements on when they are planning to release it.
