The current generation AMG C63 was launched back in 2015, and after seven years of production, it is preparing to retire. But when the model goes out of production, it will not only end a generation, but also a long list of V-8 powered models. The next generation C63 - set to arrive in 2023 - will be offered with an electrified, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Despite the smaller engine, the next C63 AMG is rumored to deliver a total of 643 horsepower - up from the current 503 horsepower. German tuner Performmaster is saying "Goodbye" to the V-8 powered C63 AMG with a special C63 V8 Final Edition.

The standard C63 AMG S is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 503 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. With a few tricks done under the hood, the tuner has pushed the V-8's numbers to a total of 612 horsepower and 619 pound-feet of torque. As a result, the sprint from 0 to 60 mph is made in 3.8 seconds - 0.2 seconds faster than the standard car - while top speed goes up to 192 mph. Just for reference, the C63 AMG S can hit a top speed of 155 mph or 180 mph if you opt for the AMG Driver's Package too. The tuner announced that similar upgrades will also be offered to the standard C63 AMG, in which case the gains are even greater.

What other changes are offered?

The C63 AMG S also received an exterior look worthy of its new performance figures. The tuner offers a widebody kit made from carbon fiber that will not only offer a sportier more aggressive look but will also improve the car's driving characteristics. Up front, the model will get a new front splitter, enlarged flicks, and air intakes, plus a concave radiator grille. Updates continue on the sides with new fender flares and sills, while the rear apron receives side flicks and a large diffuser with integrated exhaust tailpipes. A spoiler lip placed on the trunk lid is the final element that improves the exterior look.

Performaster said nothing about pricing for the C63 V8 Final Edition, but it did announce it will be offered in limited numbers. The Final Edition will be built on both the C63 AMG and the C63 AMG S.
