Peugeot presented new pictures with his 908 race car, without a make up, and ready to race at Le Mans. The diesel V12 engine with two turbochargers and FAP filter. The maximal power is around 700hp and the maximal torque is also impressive with 1.150 Nm. 908 will fight against Audi R10, another diesel race car who will participate to Le Mans (Last year winner).

Peugeot Design Center had to deal with both design and technical matters. For example, the roof had to be of a light color not to accumulate too much heat in the cabin and the "carbon" parts, free of paint, contribute to an optimal weight distribution on the car.

Having won the Le Mans 24 hour race twice, Peugeot has set itself a new technological challenge: to win this mtyhical race a third time. In order to accomplish this, the Peugeot Sport team has come up with the 908 HDi FAP; a carbon monocoque with lines that pay homage to the prestigious 905.The 908 HDi FAP is equipped with the V12 HDi FAP(Particulate Filter), a result of Peugeot’s advanced expertise in diesel engines, which was specially adapted for high powered racing car.

While the car looks amazing, and the specs of the engine make me drool, I will still be rooting for the Audi R10 come race day...
