Alfa Romeo->ke1386 and notable design house are both celebrating anniversaries this year so it was a logical move for both companies to figure into a partnership of sorts. The result of that collaboration is a new Alfa Romeo concept that celebrates both Alfa’s 100th anniversary and Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary.

There aren’t a lot of details about the car that have been released yet although Pininfarina did come out with a couple of teasers in the past with the latest being released only today.

Continued after the jump.

From what we know, the man behind the two-seat Alfa spider is Lowie Vermeersch, who at 35, has risen to the title of Design Director after beginning his career at Pininfarina as an intern only ten years ago. Judging from the teaser sketch released by Pininfarina, the Alfa Romeo spider concept could be a likely successor to the Alfa Romeo Duetto, a car that Alfa has been planning on reviving for quite some time now.

Despite the constant fodder over what this car would look like when it makes its debut, the teaser sketch still leaves a lot to the imagination. Nonetheless, we should at least expect more info regarding this spider concept from Alfa Romeo and Pininfarina in the near future.
