Pininfarina Teases Sporty K350 SUV For Beijing Auto Show

Once a glorious company responsible for many Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, and Lancia designs, Pininfarina was hit by a big financial crisis in the late 2000s. As a result, the Italian firm ended all automotive production in 2011 and was eventually sold to Mahindra in 2015. The design house bounced back under Indian ownership and created a few concept cars in recent years, including the H2 Speed and the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo. Come 2018 and Pininfarina is readying a brand-new concept vehicle for the Beijing Auto Show, this time around developed in cooperation with the Hybrid Kinetic Group.
Unlike previous show cars, the K350, which is an SUV, is likely to become a production model.
Unlike previous show cars, the K350, which is an SUV, is likely to become a production model. The hauler will be unveiled alongside the H500 sedan at the Chinese event as part of a new range of environmentally friendly vehicles developed for the Hybrid Kinetic Group. The K350 is actually the third SUV made by Pininfarina for HKG, following the five-seat K550 and the seven-seat K750. The K350 is a four-seat compact.
There are no specific details about this all-electric crossover just yet, but the first teaser image shows a sporty profile with a coupe-like roof and muscular character lines. It definitely looks as if it could be put into production outside the missing side mirrors and the retractable door handles, but the tech behind it might be a bit too futuristic. We should find out more about that, as well as see photos from all angles, at the Beijing Auto Show later this month, so make sure you stick around for updates.
