Paolo Barilla, overall winner of Le Mans in 1985, is celebrating his birthday in style. In cooperation with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, he designed his dream car. He wanted to drive a car that will remind him of the car he drive back in 1985. He opted for a Porsche 911 GT3 and went for the same color scheme found on the Porsche 956, but also went for unique wheels and a redesigned interior.

What's different on this special Porsche 911 GT3?

it also features the winning race number 7 on its bonnet and doors.

Also, the design of the center-lock wheels is inspired by the rims of the Porsche 956: white at the front and modern gold at the rear.

The rear wing has also been modified and tested in the wind tunnel. And a cool "PB 60" logo is blazoned across the flanks - Paolo Barilla's initials and age.

Since it was inspired by a racing car, the interior is dominated by a black theme, combined with yellow decorative trim. A special logo has also been designed for the interior. It was placed on the passenger-side dashboard and combines the type code 956, the "Le Mans 1985" logo, and the stylized silhouette of the racing car. And last, but not least, the gear lever is reminiscent of the magnesium ball in the 956 racing car.

"In the Eighties, I had the chance to drive the wonderful Porsche 956, an iconic car in terms of performance and beauty," says Paolo Barilla, ex-racing driver and Deputy Chairman of the Italian food company. "The interpretation of some elements in a modern GT3 makes that memory exciting and vital – for me and for people who are close to me.”
