Sportec has prepared a new tuning package for the facelifted version of the 997 Turbo, both Coupe and Cabriolet versions. The tuner is offering two performance stages and a wide range of wheels.

In stage one the performance optimization was obtained with an ECU reprogramming and a new sport air filter. The result is 550 hp at 6400 RPM and a peak torque of 750 Nm at 3400 RPM. Top speed has increased to 200 mph while the sprint from 0 to 60 mph is made in 3.2 seconds.

In stage two performance optimization was obtained by combining ECU reprogramming with a sport air filter, a high performance exhaust system with high-flow catalytic converters, sound throttles incl. controller, and two 70mm double endpipes. The result is 580 hp at 6500 RPM and a peak torque of 800 Nm at 3400 RPM while top speed remains at 200 mph.

Customers can also choose between 19" or 20" wheels in different colors and designs.

Compared to the tuning package provided for the Porsche by Tech Art, this package falls a tad short. TechArt allowed for more horsepower and even included some aesthetic changes to the vehicle, but at least with Sportec you get to choose lots of different wheels (insert chuckle here).
