After unveiling the facelifted version of the 911 line-up, Porsche has started to work at the next generation Porsche 911, and here’s the first photos taken at a mule around the Nurburgring.

Even if the mule is wearing a 997 body work there are a few details showing we are actually looking at the next 998: the addition of blistered wheel arches hinting at a widened track and a makeshift wing providing additional downforce. Also the quad exhaust tips pulled from the Carrera S aren’t fitted as flush as the 997 model.

Look at the front fender flare ! oh boy.... Is Porsche coming up with something new for once ? I admit the idea of fender flare sounds pretty good.. but this might very well be a RSR version of the current 997, instead of a 998.... anyways... looking good...
