The Porsche Boxster is a popular platform for crazy conversions. While there are plenty of ambitious conversions, based on Porsche models, the most extreme one yet comes from Vale Automotive. The tuning company offers this as a kit and it can best be described as a hardcore, mini-version of the Porsche 911 GT1 with a bunch of design cues from other iconic and special models thrown in.

Vale Automotive’s conversion for the Porsche 987 Boxster can finally be seen in its final form, after almost a year in the making. The extensive gallery traces the project from start to finish and showcases all the unique design features of the car, which Porsche fanatics will, no doubt, recognize from the German brand’s competition models and special versions.

The conversion is so extensive, that those uninitiated in the Porsche religion will have a hard time recognizing what exactly it is based on. The lower section of the front looks to be inspired by the Porsche 918 Spyder while the side air intakes are reminiscent of the Porsche Taycan. The side profile has a lot of the 2018 Porsche 935, which is a highly-exclusive spiritual successor to the 935 Moby Dick.

The rear is where things get the most interesting as it is heavily inspired by the streamlined design of the Porsche 917 race car. The most notable feature is the shark fin extension, seen on many LMDh racecars as well as the Koenigsegg Jesko.

While Vale Automotive hasn’t’ revealed a full list of parts used, it seems the project is in the final stages of development. At this point in time, Vale Automotive is yet to decide whether or not to sell the conversion as a complete, turnkey build. The tuning company says the Boxster GT1 conversion will be available for only 33 cars. Prices are yet to be announced for this modern tribute to a legendary Porsche.
