Porsche unveiled the Cayenne Hybrid this year at Los Angeles Auto Show, and they were very excited about the idea. But they were... not anymore. The production of the Cayenne Hybrid will be delayed until at least 2010.

"Though there is still no decision on the planned introduction date of the hybrid version of our Cayenne SUV, I’m sure we’ll only introduce the new system with the start of the next SUV generation in 2010." said one of Porsche’s managers.

Also the Panamera was supposed to be launched with a hybrid engine; but this has been delayed also: "We want to have time to analyze the experience with the Cayenne and, depending on what we find, launch the Panamera with hybrid drive then or perhaps as late as 2013."
