According to Auto motor und sport magazine Porsche expexts its sales in Germany to cross 20,000 vehicles a year in coming years with the introduction of new model [Panamera->ar12103] in 2009.
"I expect the next really substantial volume surge with the introduction of the Panamera," Porsche's Germany boss Bernhard Maier told the magazine. "We have carried out detailed market studies and concluded that we can sell at least 20,000 Panamera cars annually worldwide."
In Germany, Porsche sells up to 5,000 Cayenne cars annually and the market for the Panamera is bigger, Maier said, adding that a conservative forecast for the Panamera would be 5,000 vehicles in Germany in the first full year of sales.
