• Porsche GT3 RS crashes violently in Hong Kong

This is not how anyone would want to ring in the new year. Apparently this 2004 Porsche GT3 RS owner in Hong Kong was driving so hard that according to reports, the car crashed into a pole roof first. That’s right, roof first! All before adding insult to injury by colliding with a nearby wall.

Given the photos that our friends over at Wrecked Exotics have provided, the extent of the crash is pretty bad considering what the mangled heap that once was a track ready GT3 RS has been reduced to. What the photos don’t show all that well is that the impact was so vicious that it actually destroyed the 911’s roll cage. It looks like the steel tubing did its job, absorbing the force instead if the driver, hopefully he was wearing a seatbelt. There’s no word on how the driver fared after enduring such a hellacious ride in his RS, but we can only hope that he’s doing much better than the car.

What else is there to expect from a car with a powerful engine? Not all owners of this supercars are that trained or capable of taming that power. Let alone mix it with alcohol and the rush in adrenaline when you feel the beast’s power.

Good thing that its Roll Cages done their purposes, hopefully nothing bad happened to the driver.
