After Porsche unveiled the four-door Panamera, it was inevitable that rumors would begin flying. The latest rumor frenzy (although it was hinted at back in 2006) suggests that the company is also preparing a two-door model, known as the Panamera GT.

The new model will allow Porsche to return to the market of large front-engine GT coupes, abandoned in 1995 when the 928 was dropped with no replacement to follow in its footsteps.

The original 928 was designed to replace the 911, but history had other plans for it. The 911 proved evergreen, which gave the 928 an awkward and doomed place in Porsche’s lineup. This time if the 928 comes back, it will be for 911 owners who need more room, and will serve as a direct competitor to the more luxurious sportscars like the Bentley Continental GT.

Lovely, isn’t it? Looks more better than the Aston Martin Rapide.

I think it will be more better if the new model will allow Porsche to return to the market of large front-engine GT coupes, abandoned in 1995 when the 928 was dropped with no replacement to follow in its footsteps.

The 928 was always the better car anyway. I mean, c’mon, it had 430hp or so in later versions (if I remember correctly) from a wonderful V8 and looked great. *Prepares for stoning by 911 purists*

Well, if you want a super car or a GT version 2 door would be the best bet. Because you really don’t need to have an extra package at the back. This baby is meant one thing and that is to be drive Fast, and Drive Bad.

I bet they will add-up some more horses under the hood because since it was a GT.
