Just a few days ago we reported Porsche working on a hardcore version of their sporty GT2. Today, we have some new details on the next GT2 RS.

The GT2 RS will be about 198lbs. lighter than the current GT2 and with a total power of 620 Hp, it will offer impressive performances. The sprint from 0-60 mph will be made in 3.2 seconds, 0-124 mph will be made in 10 seconds and the 0-186 mph sprint in 25 seconds. Porsche also announced a Nurburgring lap time of just 7 minutes and 22 seconds.

Yes, we’ve heard all of these numbers before, but, as we mentioned earlier, we have a new detail on the Porsche GT2 RS. Now, this may be a bad detail to have to come forth with, but we must give you the facts as we receive them. There will only be 300 units built of this beautiful Porsche GT2 RS and each will be priced at 240,000 euro. Hopefully, we will receive happier details (and possibly more units) at the official unveiling on May 14, 2010, but until then, we will have to deal with the facts we have now and hope for more!

620bhp in a car with the engine at the back and rear wheel drive? How on earth do you go round a corner without leaving a mess in your underwear?!

For sure 50% of the 300 GT2 Rs will be brought to Middle east, 10% to US and the remaining is to the Europe.

I can’t wait for details this thing is going to be amazing! I wonder what the chances are of it getting the PDK, probably not, seeing it is an RS. but it will be a monster non-the less
