• Rare Pokemon Spotted In The Wild: The 2024 Mitsubishi L200

The 2024 Mitsubishi L200 has been spied winter testing and it seems longer than before

LISTEN 01:29

It’s not every day a Mitsubishi vehicle gets spied. The company’s pickup truck, that’s sold under many guises worldwide, was recently spied winter testing near the Arctic circle with some skin on. This L200 is potentially a next-gen truck, but the changes don’t seem to be a lot. Up front, the headlights are tweaked a little. It carries the same body, so other changes are minimal. There are some changes at the rear, though. The exhausts are positioned differently and the rear bumper has been modified for it.

It also has a slightly longer wheelbase, which is evident because the rear axle doesn’t fit exactly in the rear wheel case. This could mean it is riding on a new platform that also underpins the Nissan Navara. The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance could lead to a lot of part-sharing between the Navara and the L200. It could either be the L200 borrowing parts from the Navara, or vice versa. There are absolutely no details about the L200 at this point, but going by the longer wheelbase and the repositioned exhaust tips, there could be a lot of mechanical changes gracing the next-gen L200. Given that the current model’s facelift came out in 2019, the next-gen model could be revealed sometime next year and go on sale from 2024.
