"Holy Historics at Brooklands auction, Batman! The Batmobile's going to be auctioned off in Surrey, UK, on June 2!"

Okay, that's not exactly the best Robin impersonation in the world, but what he's trying to say - or maybe, we're trying to say - is that a replica of no less than the 1960s Batmobile is going up for sale at the Historics at Brooklands auction in Surrey on June 2.

Unlike other horrendously done Batmobiles we've seen in the past, this replica, which is based on a 1973 Lincoln Continental, is pretty much a clone of the George Barris-created original. It's got all the styling cues and gadgets and gizmos found in the original, including an in-dashboard television, a rear parachute pod, boot mounted exhaust pipes, and, how can we forget, the immortal Batphone.

The owner of the car, Mark Perkins, attests to the reliability and attention-grabbing appeal of the Batmobile, something the prospective new owner will surely enjoy. The Batmobile also comes with a full year's MoT test certificate and a UK V5 registration document, making it completely legal to drive out on the road.

Last, but not least, the winning bidder will also take home some pretty cool add-ons including extensive clippings of the car - it's made a number of promotional appearances - as well as a number of showings of the car alongside Adam West, the original Batman of TV fame. How cool is that?!
