Say what you will about Kylie Jenner and her pursuits in life, but you can’t deny that the Kardashian knows her way around cars. She’s the proud owner of a Ferrari LaFerrari, a pair of Land Rovers, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a Lamborghini Aventador, and what looks to be a Lamborghini Urus, among other steely-eyed rides.

It’s her latest vehicular purchase, though, that has everyone standing up and paying attention. Recently, Jenner posted a video of her new Bugatti Chiron on her Instagram account. It didn't take long, though, for the Internet vultures to swoop in with their scathing comments, so Jenner quickly deleted the video of her Chiron. The lesson, as always, is clear. If you can't take the heat, best get out of the kitchen.

Social media is a funny place, isn’t it? That’s especially true if you have an Instagram account that has almost 150 million followers like the one Kyle Jenner has. Every post will be marked with likes and comments from people all over the world. Some comments are harmless and well-mannered. Some comments, though, go beyond that. Perhaps Jenner just wanted to show off her Chiron because it is a beautiful car. Whatever her intentions were, it instantly became the breeding ground of mean and harsh comments as people pointed out the millions of hungry people in the world that could have been fed with the amount of money she paid for the Chiron.

While there is some grain of truth to that, it still doesn’t give people an excuse to jump on their high horses and attack Jenner for her the things she buys with the money. At the same time, Jenner should probably know better at this point. With the amount of followers she has, there’s going to be a lot of pushback on her posts, whatever they are. It just so happened that she posted a video of a car that costs almost $3 million. I’m not going to begrudge her for posting it; the account is hers and the Chiron is hers. But a little discreteness goes a long way, too.

It’s also tough for some people to just accept that, too. When they see Jenner post a video of a hypercar that’s powered by an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W-16 engine that lays down a staggering 1,500 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque, people will react to it. I suppose she did the right thing by deleting the video because if she hadn’t, she probably would’ve been subjected to more snark from the Interwebs.

The hypercar’s power figures are also mind-blowing, in part because all that power is managed by a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that helps the Chiron sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds. Depending on who you believe, Bugatti says that the Chiron is also the current fastest car in the world after performing a top speed run that ended with the car breaking the 300-mph barrier. Sure, it’s a heavily modified version of Jenner’s Chiron, but it’s still an impressive achievement nevertheless.

Hopefully, we get to see Kylie Jenner’s Bugatti Chiron out in the wild. We’re not that concerned with who’s driving it; we’re more interested in the actual car. The Bugatti Chiron has that effect on us.
