This is one of the scariest street races we’ve ever seen

If you are into street races, you should check out 1320video on YouTube. We stumbled across a video from 2014 that features a street race between a Corvette Z06 and an LSX Willys Jeep. The latter is customized and pumps out around 750 horses. The Corvette Z06 also seems to be tuned to generate some extra horses. This night race is going to blow your mind off because the Jeep doesn’t feature a door, or roof, or even seatbelts!

A Sleeper Jeep

The LSX Willys is in a military green hue and fat tires. Other than this, it is literally a bare-bone car, but it still makes 700 horses. What makes this scary is that the two folks in the Jeep are driving at 180 mph without any safety features. There are no doors, roof, grab handles, or even seatbelts. These guys seriously have some balls to drive like that. The only thing they have in the name of protection are helmets.

We don’t have to say anything about the Corvette Z06’s performance, but this seems to be tuned, too. The Z06 features a 7.0-liter, V-8 engine that churns out 505 horses and 470 pound-feet of torque. This example, however, makes 550 ponies. When these two were racing, at some points you can see the headers glowing in purple and cherry red shades in the LSX Jeep. It happens more often than not, but when you see it happening and you realize that the people sitting in the same vehicle without any safety measures, it does freak you out.

Final Thoughts

In the end, a supercharged Corvette C7 and a Mazda RX-7 make a cameo as well. A fun video overall, but the Jeep bit was scary. Hypothetically speaking, would you go shotgun in this Jeep in the same situation? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
