Just because the Nissan GT-R already has a wicked nickname - Godzilla! - it doesn’t mean that there’s no more room for improvement. After all, for all his considerable might and flame-spewing abilities, the real Godzilla still couldn’t spread lift off of the ground if his life depended on it.
So it’s the same with the GT-R. It’s already pretty awesome in its own right, but if you had a chance to give it more tweaks, you wouldn’t even hesitate to do so. That’s where the GT-R Spec V comes along and Auto Express was lucky enough to put it through the ringer.
Looking at how they managed to run the carbon fiber-loaded GT-R - it’s new additions include a carbon fiber rear spoiler, a carbon fiber grille, and carbon fiber brake ducts - it’s safe to say that when you think of this GT-R as an improved version of the standard model, well that’s quite a massive understatement. Blasting off from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and running a slalom at 74.7 mph? Yeah, quite an understatement, indeed.
