If you’ve seen any of the shenanigans put on by Mike Finnegan and David Freiburger, hosts of Motor Trend’s Roadkill, then you know what to expect from this video.->ke278 In typical fashion, it includes old, worn-out parts, a welder, other worn-out parts, and a lot of humor – both in how things are built and the comedy that happens along the way.

This episode involves an old amateur dirt track car that has been sitting unused for more than four years. The goal: to make it street legal enough to insure and to have fun at a dirt track. Simple enough. However, executing that plan is a bit more challenging.

In order to insure the car, it has to have a VIN and license plate – an impossible task without a donor car. That’s where the body of a 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo->ke1187 comes into play. I’m not going to spoil the details of the video, but it all somehow comes together. The dynamic duo then roadtrip the car, affectionately called the “NASCARlo,” to a dirt track in Perris, California.
