It's been six months since Rolls-Royce unveiled the latest-generation Phantom, and the British carmaker is bringing three bespoke models to the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. All three cars were commissioned by customers, and all will remain unique. As usual, they come with fancy names and fancy descriptions. The only regular wheelbase model is called The Gentleman's Tourer, while the extended wheelbase versions are dubbed Whispered Muse and A Moment in Time.

Rolls-Royce The Gentleman's Tourer Details

This specific model harks back to the Phantom II Continental of the 1930s, so the name is by no means a coincidence. Sporting a subdued exterior for a car this big, the sedan is finished in a unique Iced Gunmetal paint with a satin silver engine hood. The paint was created specifically for this model in order to appeal to the customer's interest in high-performance aircrafts. The 22-inch alloys wheels also have iced gunmetal detailing.

On the inside, Rolls-Royce added embossed Spirit of Ecstasy graphics in each door panel and a silver pinstripe across the Piano Black veneer. The Galley, which is the passenger side of the dashboard, includes a Cascade Steel ornament finished in Ruthenium, a rare and precious metal from the Platinum group.

Rolls-Royce Whispered Muse Details

This model is based on the extended wheelbase version and sports a fancier paint scheme, which includes a newly-developed Crystal effect. Applied over the two-tone Selby Grey and Palais Nemaskar Dawn finish, it has 10 layers of paint built up with the last being a layer of glass infused clear coat. There's also a Rose Gold motif, as well as the first ever Rose Gold Spirit of Ecstasy statue.

Inside the cabin, the focus is on the Gallery, which is made from silk created by London-based design Helen Amy Murray. Inspired by Charles Sykes' drawings, the Spirit of Ecstasy's dress was created from different planes in silk, directional sculpting, and individual contours. It's all finished off with Piano Seashell veneers created by hand polishing for 12 hours and handstitched Charles Skyes-inspired embroidery. The Rose Gold theme seen on the outside continues on the speakers of the audio system. The front and rear seats are wrapped in different upholstery for a more luxurious feel.

Rolls-Royce A Moment in Time Details

Also based on the extended wheelbase model, A Moment in Time has an even more complex Gallery. Designed to look as if the Spirit of Ecstasy's shawl "was allowed to drape over the car at high speed," it was created through photography, fluid dynamics, and sculpture by the Based Upon Collective in London. The element itself was machined from a solid billet of aluminum and hand polished before being mounted into the Gallery as a true artwork.

"A swath of silk was pulled through a tank of water, weighted and suspended, controlling this moment. Captured on camera, the resulting fluid form was then analysed by the Rolls-Royce design team and the artists of Based Upon, before being remastered in clay. A malleable wax sculpture was then reworked to optimize the impact of ‘The Gallery’s’ space," Rolls-Royce said in a statement. Pretty fancy, huh? No wonder these Bespoke cars cost so much.

Other elements in the cabin also benefit from extended work. The unique Piano Milori Sapphire veneer was hand-polished for 12 hours and complemented by Navy and Selby Grey trim. One final touch is the hand-stitched Spirit of Ecstasy embroidery in Navy. On the outside, the sedan sports a newly created Blue Crystal over Milori Sapphire paint made from six different layers. The clear coat was infused with blue glass to create the special effect. A Selby Grey coachline and pinstripes on the wheel centers round off the exterior look.
