Looks like Ferrari->ke252 isn’t the only automaker that’s set to introduce a special-edition->ke2041 model that places emphasis on the U.S. market. German automaker Porsche->ke1 has a plan to build an exclusive version of the Panamera later this year. Automobile is reporting that Porsche’s design arm, Porsche Exclusive, will be unveiling 100 units of a limited-edition Panamera->ke1840, 30 of which are headed to the U.S.

Details are still sketchy on the extent of exclusivity this particular Panamera will have, but Automobile’s source indicates that the luxury saloon->ke505 will feature a unique metallic-paint scheme, a multi-colored leather upholstery, and will feature just about every option imaginable.

It’s highly unlikely that the model will reach the $3.2 million price tag of the U.S.-bound, super-exclusive Ferrari, but you can at least expect the Panamera to come dressed to impress, maybe even have a little sparkle here and there.

The same report also suggests that Porsche Executive will use the top-of-the-line Panamera Turbo S Executive to develop this limited-edition model. In the event that happens, you can expect it to retail for a good bit more than the $201,495 (with destination) price tag of the standard Panamera Turbo S Executive.

Maybe somewhere in the vicinity of $250,000 to $300,000.

Porsche is expected to divulge more details about this mysterious Panamera in the coming weeks, at which point I expect to hear news that all 30 models have already sold out.

Why It Matters

Porsche wants customers to treat the Panamera with the prestige and esteem the company believes it deserves. That’s likely the reason Porsche Exclusive is building this special Panamera Turbo S Executive.

There’s no better way to attract well-heeled auto connoisseurs than to offer them a chance to own a limited-edition Porsche that has all the bells and whistles deserving of its exclusive status.

I'd be surprised if all 30 units of this special-edition Panamera that are heading to the U.S. aren't sold out soon after the ordering books open. At the very least, you won't have to fork over $3.2 million just to own one, right?

Porsche Panamera Turbo S Executive

Porsche unveiled the Panamera Turbo S Executive at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show together with the new Panamera Turbo S. Both versions are considered the pinnacle of Porsche’s Panamera range, with more luxury and power than any other Panamera model.

The Panamera Turbo S Executive, in particular, is the crown jewel. It has an extra 5.9 inches of wheelbase to help increase legroom in the rear, making it perfect for executive who do business while their driver takes them to the airport.

Power comes in the form of a 4.8-liter, V-8 engine that produces 570 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. That's enough power to launch the car from a standstill to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds to go with a top speed of 192 mph.

Porsche priced the Turbo S Executive from $200,500, including destination charges.
