The first influences of the Sabb concept will appear in a production car in mid-2007.
The 2007 Saab 9-3 will be a re-skin of the existing model with more aggressive styling borrowed from the concept.
The facelift will be shown in June, and make its U.S. debut two mounts later.
While it will remain on the current Epsilon platform, the heavily face-lifted 9-3 will offer all-wheel drive as an option.
An all new dashboard for all 2007 model year 9-3s, with the elimination of the center mounted Saab Information Display, the incorporation of the same climate control system used in the 9-5, with three knobs versus two dozen buttons.
The 9-3 will get a complete redesign in mid-2009.
That car will be built on the Epsilon 2 architecture, with four wheel traction, which will enable higher engine specs and outputs.
Meanwhile, the company plans a new 9-4X crossover that’s planned for debut sometime around 2008.
