There is no dearth of EV startups today. But, that doesn’t mean new companies aren’t cropping up every other day. The latest startup to join the bandwagon is Deus Automobiles, an Austria-based company that is building an electric hypercar called the Vayanne. The company has unveiled the Vayanne at the ongoing New York Auto Show. The hypercar boasts ridiculous power specs and will reach customers in 2025. It will be limited to just 99 examples.
How Is The Deus Vayanne On The Outside?
The prototype displayed at the New York Auto Show is a “production-oriented concept”. In terms of design, it looks minimalistic up front and quite bold at the rear. At the first glance, you get Ferrari 296 GTB vibes when viewed from the front and Bugatti Chiron vibes at the rear.}
Deus, however, says the “Vayanne is the manifesto of the DEUS design language of symmetry and infinity that sculpts the car’s character.” That said, it looks pretty good in its current avatar.
Deus even noted that it has a ground clearance of 4.7 inches and comes with usable storage space, which makes it a practical hypercar. Deus has collaborated with Italdesign, the company founded by Giorgetto Giugiaro, and Williams Advanced Engineering, the firm associated with Williams in F1.
How Is The Deus Vayanne On The Inside?
On the inside, it looks quite practical and not too radical. It doesn’t look very futuristic or doesn’t boast a huge screen on the dash, something that’s quite common with EVs these days. If you are someone who is still warming up to the cabins of EVs, the Vayanne’s cabin should make you feel good. From the looks of it, the cockpit with the flat-bottom steering and a fully digital instrument cluster behind it covered in a cowl definitely looks like a nice place to be.
The startup mentioned that the Vayanne comes with green interiors. You get natural leather for the upholstery. The ‘infinity’ design is carried over to the inside as well. Deus notes this can be seen on the doors and dash.
How Much Power Does The Deus Vayanne Make?
There isn’t everything known about the powertrain yet, but we have some numbers that will make your jaw drop.
There’s no word on how many motors it features, but speculating a quad-motor setup wouldn’t be too off. But, let’s take it with a pinch of salt because these figures are "computer-simulated performance, not validated". Nevertheless, this makes it more powerful than the 2,040-horsepower Estrema Fulminea, the 1,973-horsepower Lotus Evija, and the 1,914-horsepower Rimac Nevera.
Courtesy of these figures, the hypercar will be able to sprint to 62 mph from rest in just 1.99 seconds and will have a top speed of over 248 mph. The Vayanne even comes with a configurable ‘Deus Active Sound’ to enhance the driving experience.

Final Thoughts
Deus noted that the Vayanne’s production will be limited to just 99 examples, and the first delivery will happen in 2025. There is still time because the startup came up with the concept only in 2020. There’s no word on the pricing, but we speculate it to be well over a million dollars.
