Seat unveiled the Bocanegra Concept in March at the Geneva Motor SHow. Featuring a new, sporty design, Bocanegra is the based for the next generation Ibiza; but also because people were impressed by the concept, Seat decided to put it into production. The production series will be called SportCoupe and will go on sale in November after its official debut at the Paris Auto Show. The Bocanegra's front-end design will also be used in a flagship Cupra version that will debut in 2009.

The future Cupra will feature the same exterior design, and also a new panoramic glass sunroof. under the hood there will be a 1.4 TFSI twin-turbo engine that will deliver around 180 HP; the engine will be mated by a seven-speed semi-automatic DSG gearbox.

Seat also announced the company is also working on a new competitor for the Ford Mondeo. The new sedan will be built on the same platform as the Audi A4; featuring the almost same body, but a new design. The new model will also be offered in a station-wagon version based on the A4 Avant.
