The McLaren Speedtail is here, and it’s an utterly majestic thing to behold. One of the first lucky individuals to get up close and personal with it is our friend Shmee150, who recently posted this 14-minute, 36-second walk-around on the latest Woking wonder-machine. Hit play and drink in the awesomeness!

Say Hello To The Fastest McLaren… Ever!

Making that possible is a newly updated hybrid powertrain, which is said to produce over 1,000 horsepower. Details on the engine configuration are still trickling out, but it most likely includes a twin-turbo V-8 with electric bits to add extra muscle. Curb weight tips the scales at 1,430 kg or 3,153 pounds.

While it might have the velocity to warp your brain and turn your face to mush, the Speedtail isn’t some barebones racer. Rather, McLaren frames it as a “hyper GT” car, and as such, it gets all the right touches to coddle passengers on the street.

That much is obvious as soon as Shmee steps into the three-seater interior, which is yet another clear nod to the preceding McLaren F1.

We’re absolutely loving the broad swath of digital gauges, which provide readouts and critical info to the driver in a fighter-bomber-esque aesthetic, while high-end materials cover everything else. It really does look amazing!

The same can be said of the carbon exterior, which cuts through the atmosphere like a hot knife through butter. We’re especially digging the side view, which shows off that rear end and just stretches back for days. The Speedtail uses very few panels in construction, which adds even more sleekness and reduces drag, a feature complemented by the covered front wheels.

There are tons of extra details Shmee goes over in the video, so hit play and check it out for yourself!
