The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the first ever utility vehicle offered by the British luxury car manufacturer but, beyond being able to carry the super-rich down the world's highways and busy metropolitan streets, it can also go off-road like no BMW ever could. This was further showcased when someone decided to do doughnuts in one. In a field.

Launched this year, the Cullinan, named after the largest flawless diamond ever found, is Rolls-Royce's first 'high-sided car.' It's the perfect Alpha to Bentley Bentayga's Omega and, as we've discussed just a couple of days ago, it's also good when taken off-road.

However, some owners, who've paid in excess of $325,000 to get their hands on one, seem not to be entirely convinced of the test that was organized for the press by Rolls-Royce to showcase the Cullinan's capacity off the beaten path. This owner, for instance, decided it'd be a good idea to take his SUV to a field and just do doughnuts to the sheer enjoyment of those who happen to film the whole thing.

What's next? A Gymkhana-style video with a Cullinan

The Cullinan, a car that seems to have been tailor-made for the world's richest individuals who were just not quite happy with the amenities of a Bentayga or a Porsche Cayenne, has already been seen riding on harsher terrain. Rolls-Royce themselves summoned the press to test the Cullinan in Wyoming back in October.

But some owners are keen to see for themselves just how good this 210-inch-long behemoth is on gravel and other loose surfaces. Such an owner is this one seen in the Instagram video below who bravely attacks a dusty path at high speed before decidedly kicking-off a series of doughnuts in a green field.

The video was posted by a Russian Instagram page, but it's unclear where precisely did this on-the-spot test took place. What we can see, is that the Cullinan effortlessly slides about and roars as the driver does spin after spin. After all, when you put the SUV in all-terrain mode, it raises by almost 1.6 inches.

The Cullinan, which is the first vehicle of its kind in the 114-year history of Rolls-Royce, is the most luxurious interpretation of how an SUV should be. It's destined to sit pretty in the multi-car garage of one of the many young millionaires around the world that want to flaunt with their increasing net worth.

It sits on the modular "Architecture of Luxury" platform made out of aluminum. The engine is a massive 6.57-liter twin-turbocharged V-12 which develops 563 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 627 pound-feet of torque at just 1,600 rpm. Due to the engine size, buyers must pay a $5,000 gas-guzzler surtax. But once, they do, they can freely enjoy their Cullinan just about everywhere: on mountain roads, out in a field or on the highway.
