YouTubers are known to do some pretty silly stuff in order to rack up followers, or simply to entertain their existing audience. That said, what sometimes seems downright stupid, occasionally gives us answers to questions we never knew we wanted to ask, or simply wouldn’t dare test for ourselves. US-based YouTuber WhistlingDiesel decided to see how usable a 700+ horsepower muscle car can be if you change the sticky rubber with buggy wheels.

There are many automotive YouTube channels, but let’s face it, more than half of them are full of clickbait content. WhstlingDiesel, although fairly focused on automotive content, does occasionally branch out. Moreover, he doesn’t seem too worried about trying some pretty crazy stuff, even at the cost of damaging his ride. This is where the Dodge Challenger Hellcat comes in.

Needless to say, buggy wheels on a Hellcat are about as far from sensible as it can get, which is why the good ol’ WhistlingDiesel did it. Actually, it’s not the first time he has done something like that on one of his cars, as not too long ago, he put wooden buggy wheels on a pickup truck, which somehow did not collapse under the weight of the vehicle.

The Challenger was upgraded to aluminum pieces, with actual rubber on them. Although the muscle car is lighter than the pickup truck, it’s way quicker. If you want to find out how this goes, click on the video below and see what happens.
