If you talk about boxy vehicles, the legendary Mercedes-Benz G-Class is the one to top that list. The other little boxy SUV that's been winning hearts all over the world for its quirky, boxy looks is the Suzuki Jimny. A lot of parallels have been drawn between the two for their stark similarities. This one aftermarket company from Dubai decided to see what the final product would look like if they were blended into one, and the result will make you go awwww.

That Is One Comprehensive, Detailed Package

Dubai-based Fast Car Service has developed a body kit for the Jimny that transforms it into a tiny Mercedes-Benz G63. The company has done a good job in creating a kit that adds a new bumper, grille, hood, and a bull bar. Fast Car Service has added a little touch of the other legendary SUV - the Jeep Wrangler - by opting for its iconic round headlights. The side profile is heavily inspired by the bigger SUV as well, with familiar-looking turn indicators, side steps, and mirrors being a part of the comprehensive package. Step to the rear, and you will see familiar exhaust tips. The company has added the original dual-tip AMG exhausts to the package, although, only the left ones work.

This makes the modded Jimny sound a lot sweeter than its stock sibling. As for the overall derriere, it looks just like a G-Class, thanks to the customized taillights and bumper. In terms of functionality, the Dubai-based company has not done much, other than to add a rearview camera and custom absorbers. What I liked the most about this 'conversion' is that the company did not change the badges and degrade the result. It still boasts a Suzuki logo at the front and the back.

Speaking of the Mercedes-AMG G63, it comes packed with a 4.0-liter, Biturbo V-8 engine that makes 585 horses and 627 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated to a Speedshift nine-speed gearbox that helps the G63 sprint from a standstill to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds. The Mercedes-Benz G-Class was originally intended for military use, but the civilian version of the debuted in 1979. The old-school looks have more or less been the same since the very beginning, but the German keeps updating it often. The G-Class is one of the longest-running models the company has ever produced. The new Mercedes-AMG G63 retails from $147,000. Pretty cheap, huh?

The Suzuki Jimny is one other Retro-styled SUV that is much adored about enthusiasts. Like it or hate it, there's no ignoring this. Suzuki has retained the same looks for the new Jimny as well; in fact, it looks all the more old-school when compared to the model it replaces. The best part is that the new generation is a lot safer and is well-loaded. This is a perfect toy for those looking for a weekend off-roader. Unfortunately, you can't have it in the U.S. If it were to sell here, the Jimny would be priced around $20,000.

That's A Decent Amount For What's Being Offered

As for the cost of the package, Fast Car Service asks for $12,250. When you compare it to the price of the standard Jimny, it looks expensive. But if you see the stuff you get for this amount, it's absolutely bang for the buck. You also get a set of G-Class 18-inch wheels, along with an exterior paint shade of your choice.
