Last week, the upcoming Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake was, once again, caught testing on public roads in Stuttgart, Germany. Now, Mercedes has taken it for another testing session, but this time on the roads of Arjeplog in Northern Sweden, for a little winter testing.

It's no surprise to see the Mercedes CLA receiving a shooting brake version, considering it is the baby-brother of the CLS, which also has a shooting brake version.

As for the CLA Shooting Brake, it will feature a design language similar to the sedan, with except of that sweet shooting brake tail, which looks identical to the CLS Shooting Brake's tail.

Under its hood, the upcoming CLA Shooting Brake will feature the same engine lineup as the sedan, including a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine offered in two output levels -- 121 horsepower and 154 horsepower -- and an AMG version with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder unit that delivers 330 horsepower.

Spy shots

Just like with the previous prototype, the one caught today by our spy photographers wears only light camo, as there is really no surprise to how the CLA Shooting Brake will look -- basically a CLA sedan with a CLS Shooting Brake backside.

Up front, the next CLA Shooting Brake will adopt the same design language as the sedan, including a power dome hood, a diamond-pattern radiator grille and new headlamps with LED lights.
