Just yesterday, the first 2015 Audi TT prototypes were caught just outside the Nurburgring, and today Audi engineers decided to take the car on the track and see how it behaves. Lucky for us, our spy photographers were nearby and managed to take some new shots of the next TT->ke1081.

The next-generation Audi TT will be built on Volkswagen Group->ke94's new MQB platform that is also used on the new-generation Audi TT. Thanks to this platform, the new TT will be lighter and will deliver increased performance. Rumors also suggested that the new TT's design language will take inspiration from the latest E-tron concepts, and will mark a return to the original TT.

As for the engine lineup, the 2015 TT will receive a new engine lineup that will include a new 1.8-liter engine and two different 2.0-liter, four-cylider engines.

The Coupe version of the new Audi TT will be unveiled sometime in 2014, while the roadster version to follow a few months later.

Spy shots

The prototypes caught testing by our spy photographers are heavily camouflaged, but even so, is not very difficult to see that the next TT will carry familiar cue but also be completely new.

It is easy to notice that the 2015 TT will retain the same body shape, but it will adopt a new front look with new grille and headlights. On the rear, we expect to see new taillights and an updated bumpers.
