A very lucky member of the Mustang6g Forums was fortunate enough to be in a hotel parking lot in Arizona just when Ford engineers were taking a break from testing a few 2015 Mustang protoypes. As no surprise, Mriley -- the forum member that spotted the `Stangs -- quickly took his camera and snapped off a few pictures. He even managed to take a photo of the car's interior; well, sort of.

As no surprise, the 2015 Mustang->ke428 is still heavily camouflaged and these new shots revealed very little. The interior picture does show a concave steering wheel and thick sport seats.

We do know that Ford->ke31 will drop the Mustang's current exterior look that made the Mustang so famous and will adopt a global design language. Ford previewed this design when it displayed the Evos Concept.

Along with its new look, we expect to see a few updates under the hood too.

2015 Ford Mustang

For the first time since the Cobra model about a decade ago, the Mustang will adopt an independent rear suspension in 2015. Additionally, we expect to see a revised engine lineup that includes a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with around 350 horsepower and revised versions of the current V-6 and V-8 powerplants.

Rumors suggest that the next-generation Mustang will mark the return of the the GT350 and the Mach1 versions. We expect the former to arrive sometime in 2016 and the latter should bow in 2017.

The 2015 Ford Mustang should debut at the New York Auto Show in April 2014, just in time to celebrate Mustang's 50th anniversary.
