The Audi A6 is due for a facelift this year, but don’t expect it to come with a whole lot of changes
by Sidd Dhimaan, on LISTEN 02:14Audi has been working on the A6 facelift. Currently in its fifth generation, the current A6 came out in 2018 and this seems like the right time (or is Audi a little late?) to refresh the luxury sedan. It was spotted sometime last year as well, but this time, two examples of the facelift A6 were spotted standing together in the parking lot. They did have some wrap on them, but there’s enough for us to decode the changes.
Up front, the 2023 Audi A6 is wearing a new bumper with new, redesigned side air intakes. The grille looks to be a tad bit small, too. It is redesigned as well. But, we’ll wait for the wraps to come off to know for sure. Our photographers noted that the headlights have new graphics in them.
Audi has redesigned the rear bumper as, especially the lower part of it. The horizontal reflectors, however, seemed to have made the cut this time around. The taillights also have new graphics to complement the headlights. There could be new wheel designs on offer, and in likelihood, new exterior shades.
We don’t have images of the interior, but expect it to be mildly refreshed. With technology evolving every day, expect new software and features in here. New upholstery options could be something else Audi could offer to make the upgrades noticeable.
The Audi A6 could retain the same engines in the same tunes. A power boost or a new engine will be a welcome surprise, but we won’t hold our breath. The current Audi A6 comes with a 3.0-liter, turbocharged V-6 mill under the hood. It puts out 335 horses and 369 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that routes power to all four wheels. The car takes 5.1 seconds to sprint to 60 mph from rest.
The facelifted Audi A6 is expected to debut later this year as a 2023 model. Check out the gallery below to have a look at the 2023 A6, and let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
