Updated: The GLE Coupe has been caught testing on the track, and this could be the last time we see it before it is officially revealed. As expected, the changes to the exterior design are still minimal, but they are enough to make it look fresh without making the current model look too old. The biggest highlights include an updated front and rear fascia, a new grille design, updated headlights, and a new matrix for the taillights. Changes inside will be minimal, but an updated infotainment system is expected as is an updated steering wheel.

The current generation Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe was announced back in 2019, and despite being only two years old, it looks like it will get an update at the same time as the rest of the GLE lineup. Back in December 2021, the standard GLE Coupe was playing in the Scandinavian snow and then, earlier in January 2022, we spotted the GLE 53 testing in the same winter conditions, today it was time for the facelift GLE Coupe to go out for snow testing.

Just like the other prototypes, the GLE Coupe is only wearing a simple camouflage body wrap on the front fascia and the rear, meaning that the updates will be minimal. As we previously said, we expect to see revised headlights and taillights, a new grille, and probably different mesh behind the corner vents.

The interior won't bring any major updates, but you can expect an updated version of the MBUX infotainment system and a new steering wheel.

Also, do not expect any updates under the hood. U.S. models should be offered in the same configurations: thr GLE 350 with 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, GLE 450 with 362 horses and 369 pound-feet, and GLE 580 with an output of 483 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. Europe will also get two diesel models: GLE Coupe 350 d, powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six oil burner that cranks out 268 horsepower and 443 and GLE 400 d with the same engine, but rated at 326 horses and 516 pound-feet of twist.

Expect the revised Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe to arrive by the end of 2022, or maybe in early 2023.
