If you follow the automotive industry, you probably know by now that the entire Porsche lineup is about to be refreshed, starting with the 911 and all the way up to the larger Cayenne SUV. In fact, just recently our spy photographers spotted the Cayenne Coupe GTS out for a run around Nurburgring. Today another Cayenne model, this time the Cayenne Turbo GT - the most powerful, non-hybrid Cayenne - was flexing its muscles around the ring.

Will the 2023 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Be Any Different?

The Cayenne Turbo GT is only one year old, so the facelift will bring no major updaes when it comes to the exterior design. The updates should be similar to all the other Cayenne models and will include newly designed and slimmer headlights, plus a new front bumper with even bigger air intakes. In the back, the only visible change will be the new design for the rear lights. The Turbo GT version will retain its unique roof spoiler and the exhaust system with center-mounted dual exhaust tips. Also, it will ride on big, 22-inch exclusive GT-design wheels.

We have no images of the interior just yet, but we expect a few changes in there too, most likely inspired by the new Porsche 911. The center console will be redesigned, and the gear shifter will get a new shape. The dashboard will feature fully digital dials, and there will also be a new sat-nav/infotainment screen.

What Powers the 2023 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT?

The Cayenne Turbo GT was unveiled in late 2021, so, as expected, the facelift in 2023 will bring no changes under the hood. This means it will continue to be offered with the same 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V-8 engine that delivers 632 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of twist. However, rumors suggest that it might get a few horses under the hood, so maybe we will see a bump to 650 horsepower. The engine will send its power to all the wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. It doesn't really matter if there will be any updates under the hood or not, as the Turbo GT is already a very fast SUV: it goes from standstill to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and up to a top speed of 186 mph. Also, with a lap time of 7:38.9 minutes, the Cayenne Turbo GT is the fastest SUV around Nurburgring.

2023 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT On Sale Date

With the rest of the Cayenne lineup expected to arrive before the end of 2022, the Turbo GT version will most likely follow a few months later, sometime in 2023. Sales should begin shortly after, with prices to start from around the same $182,000.
