The standard BMW Gran Coupe has been on many people’s wish lists since the concept first took to the floor of the 2010 Beijing Auto Show. However, those fans may want to put their purchases on hold for just a bit longer because our spy photographers have just captured the next variant of the 4-door Coupe while testing. The Gran Coupe fitted with the company’s M-Sport package should arrive just a few short months after the standard model’s 2012 debut and should be priced a little north of the standard model’s $75,000.

The standard Gran Coupe will be inspired by the Gran Coupe concept and will be built on the same platform as the 5-Series, meaning it will sit 4.4 inches longer than the 6-Series (116.8 vs 112.4). It will be powered by either a turbocharged Inline-6 developing 300 HP and 300 lbs/ft at 1400 rpm or a twin turbo V8 that puts out 400 HP and 450 lbs/ft at 1750 rpm.

As with all the other BMW models, the M-Sport package will add a bevy of accessories, including an M aerodynamic body styling package, 19-inch M light alloy wheels, dark chrome exhaust tailpipes, a High-gloss Shadowline exterior trim, and black brake calipers. For the interior, the Gran Coupe with the M-Sport package will see sport seats and an M Sport multi-function leather trimmed steering wheel.

It’s been a long time since the M package is released and until now, it is the main topic in the society. It really did a great job for BMW. It makes the car a complete package having a powerful output plus good looks and one more thing the M package is not a gas guzzler.

The aerodynamic of the car is a quite good thing. Furthermore, the platform they are going to use is just the same with the standard which is a reliable one. I don’t know what to say about the M package because it proves its worth many times.

Well, I guess you are right.. there’s a big chance that this car would be similar with their current M-series production. BTW, I think they don’t even made a great modification in the aerodynamic kit of the car.

It seems that our lists of must be seen production in the Frankfurt Motor Show. No doubt that the look of this car would be identical with the M-series since it used the M package as well.
