Our spy photographers have caught the upcoming BMW i3 out for another testing session. For the first time, the prototypes are now fitted with the real headlights and taillights, and also got the front design elements we are going to see in the production version. If you are going to take a closer look, you will also notice that a lot of fake panels have been removed so that we now can see more of the car's real lines and shapes.

The model has been previewed many times, with the most recent concept version being unveiled earlier this year at the Paris Auto Show. It will be powered by a powerful 170 horsepower electric engine that will sprint the car from 0 to 60 mph in under 8 seconds and up to a top speed of 93 mph.

The new BMW i3->ke3915 will go on sale sometime in 2013 at an estimated priced of $55k.
