Its been a while since we last saw the Mercedes S-Class Coupe out for a testing session, but once the snow started falling in Europe, the company wanted to see how the car behaves in these conditions. Our spy photographers managed to shoot the next S-Class->ke359 Coupe somewhere in Northern Sweden and as you can see, the prototype wears lighter camouflage than ever before.

The S-Class Coupe will be offered with a more aggressive design language than the S-Class sedan, but the engine lineup should be identical.

The coupe version will be offered with a 3.0-liter, V-6 engine in the base version and with a twin-turbocharged, 4.7-liter, V-8 powerplant in the more powerful S500 version. Mercedes ->ke187 is also developing an AMG version, which will be powered by a 5.5-liter, V-8 biturbo engine with an output of 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque.

The S-Class Coupe will be unveiled next year at the Geneva Motor Show->ke228.

Spy shots

As you probably expected, the S-Class Coupe will basically be just a sportier version of its sedan brother, and even if the prototype caught testing today is still camouflaged, it is pretty easy to imagine how the next S-Class Coupe will look like.

The model will wear a front fascia that is similar to the sedan, but a little bit more aggressive, a prominent drop line and a more rounded turret line. Also, because of the lack of the rear doors and a lowered ride height, it will look a little bit sportier.

The rear will be significantly shorter than on the sedan, but will feature the same basic lines.

2015 Mercedes S-Class Coupe Rendering

Imagining how the next S-Class Coupe will not be that difficult considering that we've already seen the sedan version and that Mercedes said the coupe version will just looks a little bit more aggressive and will offer a lowered ride.

So, as expected, we removed the rear doors, brought the car closer to the ground and added some more pronounced lines to car's side profile. The rear will also be shorter on the coupe version, while the rear windows will be large to offer a good view of the exterior for the rear passengers.
